This sort if branding is oftenest by pop artists, but isn't used in many other genres.

As she was a Disney Actress when she was younger, this made her a teen idol, and she has kept this squeaky clean image in the rest of her career in order to keep these fans. This helps her to appeal to a mainstream and younger audience.
